The Blueprint
A child care roadmap for every child and family in San Mateo County.
The San Mateo County Child Care Blueprint is a community-informed, multi-year action plan for building a more affordable, accessible, and sustainable child care system. It brings together shared goals, practical strategies, and clear priorities, with lead agencies identified to advance priority strategies and drive accountability. Together, these efforts support families, strengthen the child care workforce, improve facilities, and coordinate lasting countywide action.
What you'll find in the Blueprint
The Blueprint outlines our collective vision, goals and strategies across 4 key areas of focus. It includes data insights, community voices, and concrete actions we will take together to build a stronger child care system for every child and family.

The Blueprint is more than a plan. It's a promise to our children and our community that together, we will build a brighter future.
